My Project

I am fascinated by Jane Goodall!
She is a primatologist and a naturalist. She can to Panama to have her Roots and Shoots Program involved in conservation here.
I had to read her biography: My Life with the Chimpanzees.
I then did a power point presentation detailing her incredible journey from Naturalist to conservationist!

My Business Plan
My Business Plan
MARK MY PLACE
My store’s name is Mark My Place. I will sell creative and colorful customized bookmarks. This business is great for me, because I enjoy bright and vibrant colors and I love art, and I show pride in my work.
My business is better than other businesses that do the same, because I make bookmarks based on what your interests are.
My slogan is Create It Your Way. I chose that name, because you tell me your interest and I create it due to what your interest is. For example, if you like flowers I will decorate the bookmark with flowers that you love.
I will do the best I can to make my clients happy.
You could have the bookmark made, or you can come to my showroom and I will have my supplies set out on tables and you can walk around, grab supplies, sit down, and make your bookmark. If it is a holiday I will put out supplies that have to do with that holiday or you can also tell me if there is a specific way that you want me to make it.
Many people read ebooks, but for those people who love the feel of a book in their hand, they will love to have a customized bookmark to Mark their place.
No one likes my bookmarks, they LOVE them!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Book Review

There were some differences, but in the book there is a young boy named Charlie Bucket, who lives in a small cottage with six family members, his grandparents from both sides and his parents. Charlie is very poor and every year as his birthday gift he gets a small bar of chocolate. He nibbles on it for a long time until he couldn’t help himself and shoves it all in his mouth.
One day he sits on his grandparent’s bed and turned on the radio. He hears that Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory is going to be reopened after many years. He also hears that there would be five lucky kids who would be able to go in if they find the golden ticket in their chocolate bar.
The next morning he sits down on his grandparent’s warm bed and once again turned on the radio. “Agustus Gloop is the first kid to find the first golden ticket"said a voice very firmly. Charlie gets very anxious at the news he had just heard. He wants to find one of the tickets. Every day one new kid finds a ticket until there is only one left.
As Charlie is walking home from school, he finds a dollar in the gutter. Charlie already knows what he was going to do with it. He rushes into the chocolate store and buys one of Wonka’s chocolate bars and quickly opens it thinking he would come across a golden ticket. He sure did find the last ticket. People are trying to give him money for the ticket but Charlie keeps the ticket for himself.
Charlie rushes home, quickly opens the door and yells, “I have the last ticket I have it.” All of a sudden, Grandpa Joe jumped out of bed and begsto go with him.
The day of the opening, they all wonder around the factory and see things they have never seen before: square candies that look round, chocolate rivers and a fizzy lifting drinks. I can tell you more but let’s move on.
Every child get themselves into trouble and has to get help from the oompa loompas. Had I not told you who they are? They are Mr. Wonka’s workers.
Since Charlie has not gotten in trouble Mr. Wonka lets him and his family live in the factory.

Matilda

Matilda Summary
By Roald Dahl
Written by Cailin Hinds
Matilda was a very young girl but quite smart for a 5 year old and her parents did not appreciate her, if fact, they were totally mean to her. She soon started school and her teacher was very surprised by her skills. Matilda enjoyed spending quality time with her teacher, Ms. Honey, because she understood her. Aside from Ms. Honey, Matilda’s best friend so far was Lavender.
One afternoon a tall girl called Hortensia, told them about how cruel Ms.Trunchbull was, and something she used to punish kids called The Choky. Hortensia also told them the pranks she pulled on Ms. Trunchbull.
One afternoon Lavender thought to herself that she should also pull a prank on Ms.Trunchbull. When Lavender got home she ran to a little pond she had in her backyard, and pulled out a newt and placed it in her pencil bag. In the morning, when she had to get Ms.Trunchbull’s water jug, she placed the newt in the water. When she wanted water, plop, the newt fell in her glass. Ms.Trunchbull blamed it on Matilda. Matilda got so furious that her eyes were red. She realized that she had super powers and she knocked the glass over.
One day Ms.Honey invited Matilda over for tea and to talk. Ms. Honey told Matilda about her life and also mentioned that the Trunchbull was her aunt. She told her that when her dad died he left a piece of paper noticing that Jenny Honey had to live with her aunt. Matilda already had a scheme going on in her brain.
Next Thursday, when Ms. Trunchbull had to go to Matilda’s class, Matilda used her powers. She took the chalk and wrote that she should leave Mrs. Honey’s house and let her live in it. Trunchbull got so scared she just vanished.
One afternoon when Mrs.Honey invited Matilda over again and she had to go back to her house, her parents where putting luggage in their car. Matilda asked where they were going and her dad told her that they were moving to Spain for his job. Matilda and Ms. Honey both begged for her not have to leave with them. Matilda’s parents agreed that she could live with Ms. Honey. Matilda and Ms. Honey both adapted to their new house and their new life quickly.

Charlotte’s Web by E. B. White

Fern asked her mom where her dad was going with an ax. Her mom told her that he was going to kill a runt that was just born. She ran outside and begged him not to kill it. She asked her dad if she could keep it. Fern decided to name it Wilbur. She took care of Wilbur and fed him out of a bottle.
When Wilbur was a month old, her dad said he was too big for her to keep. Mr. Arable, her dad, decided to sell Wilbur to her uncle Mr. Zuckerman. He called Mr. Zuckerman and offered him for six dollars. That did not stop Fern from visiting Wilbur. Every day Fern went to visit Wilbur from across the street. Fern watched Wilbur grow up.
One night was a dark and very quiet night in the barn. Wilbur heard a soft and gentle voice calling him. He asked for who ever it was to show their face. No one answered. By the next morning when Wilbur awoke he heard the same soft and gentle voice he had heard the night before. Please show your face he begged. Charlotte introduced herself to Wilbur.
One day a sheep told Wilbur that he would be killed by winter. Wilbur told every thing to Charlotte. Charlotte had promised to come up with a plan to save Wilbur. Charlotte had come up with the idea of making a web with words on it.
The next morning, there was a message spun in the web above Wilbur’s trough. People from all over the country came to see. Everybody thought that Wilbur made it. Mr. Zuckerman decided to enter Wilbur into a competition.
Charlotte convinced all the animals to help her make a new web with a special message that was sure to save Wilbur. And her plan to save Wilbur’s life worked. Charlotte was a true friend.

SLEEPOVER!
I got to her house and Isabella and I ran upstairs and put on our bathing soot.We ran downstairs and went to Paulo Al faro's house to go in the pool. SPLASH! was what I heard when Isabella jumped in. We got bored of swimming so we went back to her house and made juice. We ran outside and knocked everybody's door and they bought. We went back to her house to count how much money we had,we made a dollar$.
We went back to the pool until my mom came.On the way when Isabella and I where walking back to her house,I told her to ask my mom if we could have a sleepover.
We ran to the trampoline and jumped on it while it had soap on it.We had so much fun.We went back and went in the bathtub.(PS.we had on our bathing soot.)We got dressed when Lu said that Eleanor was coming.
knock knock knock. It was Eleanor, she came in and waited for Luciana to come down.
Isabella and I went upstairs and then Luciana called us down, she had ordered a pizza. We ate it with soda. It was getting dark so we got into our pj's and stayed upstairs. Isabella and I stayed in her room. We got bored so we drew.Isabella said that she was bored,so she started to make a plane, then the drawings began to turn into notes.I've got it,we'll make notes and turn them into planes and throw them thru her door. We decided to play cards after that so we did. We did not know what to do so we stayed up doing nothing at 3:00 in the morning. We went to sleep for 4 hours.
We woke up at 7:00 and made pancakes. We gobbled it down.We went upstairs and drew.AW W it was time to go.

I am on the Team

I am so exited because... I AM HAVING MY VERY FIRST SOCCER GAME ON THE 11TH! But I am nervous because we are playing against la Salle. I waited the whole week for this day to come, now the day is here. I will be forward. I knew that I would make it.
At 2:02 I went to my Spanish class and as soon as I got there the intercom rang, and said,"Sorry for interrupting the class, but may you send down sub 10 girls to the gym."
As soon as I heard that announcement I ran to my class to get my bag. We started practicing for our game. When we started practicing we saw the other team. Finally the game started.
The ref called the captains to the center to flip a coin, we got to start. We played our buts off. We passed it to each other and I took the ball away from the other team until they kicked the ball out. It was the goalies ball, she took the ball and kicked it bad and then the ref called it a goal, and now everybody says that the other team cheated; some people even cried.
But we are having a game on the 25th and we will have revenge!

On Monday, I am supposed to start reading to do a book review and an advertisment to make the class like the book. I can't wait, but mom is making me feel bored and not so interested! But I bet people will love my book report. I will enjoy making the advertisement. The book I'm reading is Clementine by: Sara Pennypacker.

Memoir Monday

I remember this summer vacation when I went over to my uncle Chris and aunt Evelyn and my cousins. Every time we go over there they have a cook
out and they invite lots of people to their house and eat delicious foods. We play in the pool and have a great time at their house.(Only if we could stay for one month, not 3 weeks.)
I only see them once a year, but when we see each other it is like we never left.

Change

Does someone want to change lives with me? My little brother is so annoying. He invited a friend over, and he told his friend to talk to me so that he could take my DS. My mom says that I complain a lot and that there are a lot of people who would love to trade places with me. I am not so sure about that.
